Just finished the coredev.tech meetup - basically a in-perosn three-day Bitcoin Core IRC meeting. I hear there will be a more detailed writeup soon on the Bitcoin Core website, but I’ll say for me personally something that really stuck out was how big the Core team has become - 19 people attended, and 32 people were invited. That’s a lot of talent in one place, enough that I couldn’t keep track of all the stuff people were working on. I personally spent most of my time discussing things like txo commitments, committed transactions, and deterministic expressions with Adam Back and Gregory Maxwell, among others.

Also, we did get some sightseeing in. Like this lovely communications tower, which Johnathan Corgan analysed with a SDR setup:

Uetliberg TV-tower

tl;dr: nerds.
